** then suggested that I go to another hospital, or, to put it more clearly, rather than discipline, or even fire, an incompetent employee, she would rather fire a client. I was clear that I went to that locations for the two doctors, period. The absurdity of her management style is beyond comprehension. There is a reason Banfield has 177 reviews and only 1 star. It is a top down problem!

I have no beef with Banfield and their services. The problem I am having seems to be the same problem I see in many of the reviews regarding Banfield. The auto-renewal and automatic payment plan. We recently purchased a new home and moved away from the area where we were receiving the services from Banfield. We now live a long way away from any Banfield hospital. We haven't used any of their services in months and no longer will be using them for our pet care. Of course they take advantage of the auto-renewal and re-up us for another year. --- Banfield Pet HospitalThey cut it out, leaving Ruby with a wound the size of two nickels stacked on top of each other. She had also lost 1/4th of her bodyweight. Banfield had told me it will take weeks for the roundworms to clear up to cover their asses when Ruby got worse because of their care. But when the other clinic tested her, they found no sign of roundworms and here I thought it was a "raging" infection. We just took Ruby to a follow-up today. The abscess has grown and more got cut out. The doctors believe it is the result of an injection from Banfield. Banfield has many unsatisfied pet owners and dead pets as a result of their "care." My little Ruby almost died. I spent well over $100 on her at Banfield and about $600 fixing their mistake at another clinic (mostly hospital boarding fees). Please read reviews and articles about them before taking any pets there. I sure wish I did. They are found in many Petsmart stores.We appreciate you taking a moment to share your review. --- Banfield Pet HospitalI stormed out of there and took her to a "real" vet, in a pet hospital that I had taken her before many years ago and they saw her immediately. She was put on steroids for 2 weeks and is now back to normal. I had joined Banfield for the pet insurance. I thought it was a good deal at the time, as I was going through economic hardships and financially it made sense to me. I can say right off the bat that in the beginning I was not happy with them as they required a leave her there for 6 hours while she had yearly blood work up and vaccinations. I had never had to do that with our previous vet. My dog would always shake when we would go there and I would never get the same vet. After this episode and having her treated by a caring vet, I had all of her records transferred. They were caring, compassionate and responsive. Most of all they communicated and educated me on the dangers of this flea preventive that ONLY Banfield offers. We appreciate you taking a moment to share your review. --- Banfield Pet HospitalThen, I tried to call to cancel the wellness plan. At this point, I have called over ten times and sent at least three emails in an attempt to get someone to cancel my plan. I am once again, put on hold by the Wellness Plan as I type this review. This is horrible customer service and I would not recommend this hospital or their vets. Do not buy the wellness plans. They are not worth it and more importantly you are being taken advantage of. Your pets are not safe with Banfield. I am hoping that I am able to cancel in the near future if I am ever able to get in touch with a real person.
