LifeLine Animal Project's Healthy Pets events help pet owners in underserved communities receive needed services for their beloved pets. This month, the events were held at Wade Walker Park in DeKalb and Washington Park in Fulton. A total of 714 pets recieved free vaccines, microchips, food, collars and more! LifeLine also provided pet education and successfully signed up 269 pets for free spay/neuter services at the LifeLine Spay & Neuter Clinics!

Contact us by phone, email, or facebook!VeTouch provides basic veterinary medical care to the pets of low-income and no-income residents of the inner Twin Cities to promote urban community health and enhance the welfare of people and animals in Minnesota. Pet owners must qualify for services based on financial need or disability. VeTouch clinics are held on the first Sunday of every month from 3-7 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Services offered include: wellness exams, distemper and rabies vaccines, diagnosis and treatment of parasitic disease, education on zoonotic diseases, behavior education, nutritional support and referral for more involved veterinary care. Services are free, but donations are greatly appreciated.Don’t let the cost of regular or emergency veterinary care services be the reason your pet doesn’t stay a part of your family. There are numerous resources for free or low-cost veterinary services.As a Travis County Resident, you can get a free microchip and ID tag for you pet. If your pet is not microchipped and/or does not have an ID tag, please come down to Austin Animal Services during the hours of 11am to 7pm to get a free microchip and/or ID tag for your pet. A pet that is microchipped, tagged, or both has a greater chance of returning to its owner.Alachua County Humane Society offers many services to help pets and people in our community. Many of these services, such as our Dog Food Bank Program and Virtual Rehoming are completely free to the public and rely on the continued contributions from our generous to continue. Offering free spay/neuter services, pet food, and supplies for low-income pet owners, and assistance to those facing financial hardship due to a veterinary emergency, with the goal of keeping pets in their homes. Applicants are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and must meet certain criteria.
